Mile High United Way’s 2-1-1 is a free and confidential community referral service that connects callers with resources which provide food, shelter, rent assistance, clothing, child care options and other types of community assistance. Trained referral specialists are multi-lingual and available to help individuals with real-time resources in our community.
LGBT Fair Housing has resources for LGBTQ people looking for a home. Here’s a description from the site: “Finding, buying, or renting a home can be a stressful process even when things go as expected. But a home search is a whole other challenge for those who experience discrimination.”
Healthcare
Colorado Indigent Care Program - provides discounted health care services to low-income people and families. Discounted health care services are provided by Colorado hospitals and clinics that participate in the CICP. Includes information on eligibility requirements and how to apply.
Metro Community Provider Network - Clinics all over Jefferson County including Jefferson Center Health Homes and the Kids and Teen clinics at Stein Elementary and Jefferson High School. MCPN serves patients with Medicaid, Medicare, CHP+ and sliding scale. Spanish speaking services available. Contact Navigation to be referred to a health home located at Jefferson Center.
Carin’ Clinic - This is a low cost health center serving uninsured children from birth to 18 years of age. Carin' Clinic serves children that have Medicaid, CHP+, and children with no health insurance Jefferson County residents only. Mon & Fri (9am-2pm), Tues – Thur (12pm-7pm) Closed on Weds and Fridays in June and July
